Dupli-Color Clear EFFEX is specifically designed to be used as a topcoat that provides a colourful metallic effect to non-metallic colours.

Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
Provides a multi-colour metallic effect on solid/flat colours.
Ideal for automotive accessories, bikes & helmets.

Dupli-Color® Effex® Clear Coat gives non-metallic paint a brilliant glitter effect. Available as a clear topcoat which allows the base colour it is applied over to shine through. Effex is formulated with tiny, brilliant-metallic particles that change colours when exposed to various angles of light. Ideal for accessories like body moulding, hood scoops, mirrors, and spoilers.

Directions:

PREP: Prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, wax, and grease using a quality grease and wax remover. For maximum adhesion use an adhesion promotor or light sand the surface with 1000-grit sandpaper or equivalent. Wipe down the surface again with grease and wax remover, then let dry. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (16°C) and 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%. Do not apply in direct sunlight.
SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely. Shake can for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
APPLY: To spray, hold can parallel at 8-10 inches from surface to be painted and use in an eve, sweeping motion. Apply 2 light coats, followed by 1 medium wet coat with 10 minutes in between coats. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes. Can be handled in 1 hour. Recoat anytime.

Additional Information:

The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
