Dupli-Color Engine Enamel is specifically designed for high temperature and high-performance engine paint applications.

Resists temperatures up to 500°F (260°C).
Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
Ideal for: Engine blocks, air cleaners, oil pans, valve covers, water pans, intake manifolds & other engine accessories.

Dupli-Color® Engine Enamel contains Ceramic Resins for maximum heat dissipation and gloss retention. The resins offer protection from exposure to excessive heat and automotive fluids. Excellent for under-the-hood applications, Dupli-Color Engine Enamel will perform to the most rigorous standards of racing, street rod, and vehicle restoration enthusiasts. This durable formula resists temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) intermittently and produces a superior finish that will not blister, flake, crack, or peel.

Directions:

PREP: Prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, wax, and grease using a quality grease and wax remover. Scuff sand the surface with a scuff pad for maximum adhesion. Rinse well and dry with a clean dry cloth. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (15°C) to 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%. Do not apply paint in direct sunlight.
SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely. Shake can for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
APPLY: To spray, hold can parallel at 8-10 inches from surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. Apply 2 light coats followed by 1 medium wet coat. Apply all coats within 1 hour, allowing 10 minutes between each coat. For additional coats after 1 hour, wait 7 days for paint to cure. Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Can be handled in 3 hours.

For additional protection once Engine Enamel colour coats are complete, apply Dupli-Color Engine Enamel Clearcoat within one hour. Apply Engine Enamel Clearcoat according to application instruction on the can.
The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
