Dupli-Color High Heat Paint is specifically designed for multi-purpose, high-temperature applications. This durable formula is perfect for enhancing and protecting various automotive and household components exposed to extreme heat.

High-Temperature Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 1093°C (2000°F).
Extensive Coverage: Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
Versatile Application: Ideal for exhaust components, radiator and cooling system components, transmission housing and manifolds, mufflers, boilers, ovens, and slow combustion stoves.

Dupli-Color® High Heat Paint with Ceramic is formulated for high-temperature applications and is resistant to oil and gas. It is ideal for a wide range of automotive and household applications, including exhaust systems, radiators, and even household stoves. However, it is not suitable for BBQ hot plates or surfaces that come into direct contact with food.

Application Directions:

Prep: Sand the surfaces using a wire brush or mechanical sander to remove loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc., until a sound metal surface is established. Solvent clean the metal surface with Mineral Turps or General Purpose Thinners, then rinse with a detergent solution or soap and water. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly. Mask off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Apply at temperatures between 60°F (15°C) and 85°F (30°C).
Shake: Shake the can vigorously for one full minute after the mixing ball moves freely. Shake the can for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
Apply: Hold the can 8-10 inches from the surface to be painted and apply 3 coats in a sweeping motion across the surface from top to bottom, overlapping each pass. Allow one minute in between coats to dry. Apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat until coverage is achieved. Test spray on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility and finish suitability. Touch dry in 15 minutes and can be recoated after 1 hour.

For optimal results, place the coated article in the oven or curing chamber. Set the oven to 392°F (200°C), hold at this temperature for one hour, then turn the oven off and allow to cool. The article is now cured.

High Heat Protection: Formulated for high-temperature applications, offering durability and resistance to oil and gas.
Durability Enhancement: After the paint is completely dry, it must be cured to substantially increase the durability of the finish and enhance chemical resistance. Finish is not chemical resistant until cured.
User-Friendly Nozzle: The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle, allowing for greater coverage and less overspray.
Maintenance: After each use, invert the can and spray until clear gas comes out. If the spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off the orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard the empty can in trash pick-up.
