Correct Fuses

We have included the Projecta recommended 50AMP ANS fuse to use with the wiring kit. BE CAUTIOUS of other sellers that supply cheaper and incorrect fuse types, this will potentially cause damage to the DCDC charger and batteries.

Protect your wires!

Many other wiring kits do not include corrugated split sleeve tubing for your wires. Professionals will always protect wires with corrugated split sleeve tubing to prevent damage from impact and heat.

Easy Connect-Disconnect

We have included Anderson plugs with our wiring kit; this enables the charger to be easily removed. This can come in handy when swapping out batteries, solar panels or making any repairs.

I have a different brand of DCDC charger, will this kit work for me?

Most likely yes, this kit should work great with a range of DCDC chargers on the market. Just be sure to check your installation guide and check that the 50AMP fuses and the 8B&S (8AWG) is suitable for your specific application.

Mounting the IDC25

The rugged design of the IDC25 affords it to be mounted wherever best suits the application. By using advanced potting technology, the unit is resistant to shock, vibration, dust and water allows which allows for under-bonnet or in-vehicle installation.

Clever 'side extrusions' incorporated within the enclosure allow the unit to be mounted to flat surfaces as close to the auxiliary battery as possible. It is advisable however to keep the charger as far away from exhausts, turbos or any other high temperate components to ensure improve performance.

Wiring the IDC25

To make sound electrical connections, battery cables will need to be made to the correct length. Cable lugs should be crimped or soldered to the stripped battery cable and then protected with the supplied heat shrink. Butt splices should be used for cable extension.

Tools for the job:

We stock a range of 12V wiring tools for the job. We did not want to add these to our kits because we know many of you may already own them. However, we also recommend that you have the following tools for the job ahead.
