VHT Flameproof Satin Clearcoat is the perfect topcoat for VHT Flameproof Colour Coats, providing a protective chip-resistant satin finish.

Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
Withstands intermittent temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C).
Ideal for: External components, radiator & cooling system component, & manifolds.

VHT FLAMEPROOF Coating will renew and extend the life of any surface exposed to extremely high temperatures. This unique coating is widely used by the automotive industry on exhaust systems, and the aerospace industry for jet engines, re-entry vehicles and other high temperature paint applications.

Directions:

PREP: Allow VHT Flameproof Colour 30 minutes to dry before applying VHT Flameproof Satin Clearcoat. Prepare the surface by removing loose paint, dirt, grease, wax, etc using a grease and wax remover, then let dry. Lightly scuff/sand surface with 600-grit sandpaper or equivalent wet or dry. Wipe surface down again with grease and wax remover. Mask-Off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (16°C) and 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%.
SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely. Shake can for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
APPLY: To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from the surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs and sags, apply in 2 lights coats, followed by one medium wet coat. Apply all coats within 1 hour, allowing 10 minutes between each coat. Dries to the touch in 1 hour and can be handled in 3 hours.

Applying Off-Vehicle Information:

Cure at 250°F (121°C) for 30 minutes then let cool for 30 minutes. Cure at 400°F (204°C) for 30 minutes then let cool for 30 minutes. Cure at 600°F (315°C) for 30 minutes then let cool for 30 minutes. Do not exceed the heat tolerance of the least heat tolerant part.

Applying On-Vehicle Information:

Run at idle for 10 minutes then cool for 20 minutes. Run at idle for 20 minutes then let cool for 20 minutes. Run under normal operating conditions for 30 minutes then let cool.

The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
